Another Surgery

Well, I am going to have surgery on my right foot next week. I have been healing amazingly on my left foot and it has only been almost 5 months. I still have a few things I can not do but with constant movement in my foot I am getting better. Some workouts are still challenging for me to do right now. But I keep pushing myself.

I feel awful because I have gained a few pounds the past 2 weeks but I am not over 200. So I am happy for that. I have been dealing with some stuff at home and just been to exhausted to workout. I know I should but I just have so much going on right now. Well I will keep you posted about my surgery and how everything is going.

I am so glad the kids are off for spring break already! We all need a little vacation and rest!
Oh wait, I just realized that my surgery isn't until the 20th. not next week. Hopefully thing will calm down a little and I'll be able to get a few workouts in next week!

Hope everyone has a great Spring Break. Here in Austin it is supposed to be raining and cold and just ugly outside so I am not sure what adventures we will be able to take!

I broke my 197 mark!!

This morning I woke up and I went to weigh myself.
To my surprise I made it to 195!! I am so excited!

Yeah me!

Let me go back a few days because I don't think I have posted my workout so far this week.

Monday, we didn't "workout" but I did clean out the RV and that was a workout in itself.
Tuesday, was the kicker! We did the P90x DVD-Plyometric! 60 minutes.
Wow! That one kicked my butt. It was a little bit of everything. I was actually dripping sweat!
I think this is the one that helped me dropped the weight!

Today, we did the Core Cynergistics that was 60 minutes.
And then I did the Stretch X for another 60 minutes.

I was exhausted but I am so glad that I have been sticking to it!

I hope that I am going to be able to continue with this motivation! I am still drinking my diet green tea!
And I feel like that is helping me! But I also drinking lots and lots of water. I do have to get my eating under control. I mean I don't eat and eat and eat. But I do eat some of the wrong things. Like fried chicken and fries. and stuff like that. I know I know. It is easier to bake and all that stuff. I just have to get motivated to do that!

I did look online and find some smoothies that I can start making in the morning for me and the kids. I think they (and I) would like that. I found quite a few high in protein and low in calories. Stuff like that!

I will post them as I make them and let you know what we like and what didn't work for us.

Well I'm off to shower and bed!

Hiking and more P90X

Yesterday I didnt do my P90x workout because it was my mom's birthday and we drove out to Marble Falls to hang out at the RV park they were staying at! I have to say it was beautiful! The sun had come out and it was a little cool. OMG it just turned out to be a wonderful Sunday. So while we were there mom showed us around the rv park and they have this granite rock that we all climbed up and then down and then back up and down again. It wasn't anything extreme. Just enough to let me feel how sore I was from the day before! lol!! We walked around the park and played with the kids! It was a lot of fun and so glad we all got to celebrate my mom's birthday together!

Today We got up and cleaned the house. Then the parents brought the RV home and I helped cleaned it out! That was a little workout in itself! Once we were done Me and Megan decided to do another P90x workout.
We started with the Strech X dvd! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! It really helped to get my sore muscles loose. I dont think I would have been able to do the Kempo X dvd if I had not done the Stretch X one first! I really felt good afterwards. That was an hour long! Then we did the Kempo X dvd. And that was another hour long! Megan talked me and Esther into going walking with her! We walked a mile for about 20 minutes.

For dinner, we ate grilled chicken and some cheddar broccoli rice. And 2 bottles of water.
I am so exhausted! But I feel good! Like I am accomplishing something! That is the best feeling.

Well I'm off to bed. I just wanted to log this before bedtime!

P90x workout today

So today was supposed to be our lazy day. We were going to let the kids play the Wii and watch Netflix all day but while flipping through the channels we came across the infomercial for INSANITY. Which looks crazy awesome.



We have P90x and Randy has been doing it for a while with great results!

So Jacob said "Mom, we should do it and you'll feel better!" So I told Randy to just go ahead and put it on before I change my mind!! We started with the Kempo X dvd. It was 60 minutes and I was able to do 90% of the stuff in it! It was hard but I kept going. I had a few more breaks in there than the dvd called for but I kept moving! It was a lot of boxing moves and I loved it! After that we put in the Cardio X dvd. I could not do that one. I made it about 5 minutes and had to stop. My foot is still healing and it is hard for me to get on my tip-toes or to do any jumping. And on my left hand I have this thing on my wrist. Like a cartilage growth. I am not sure what it is but I can not do push ups or even pull ups. Anything that puts pressure on it hurts. So we stopped that dvd and put in the Ab Ripper. Man...that one was killer. I tried every single move but couldn't keep up with them. I mean that was only 15 minutes but it felt like and hour. It was so hard! Randy and Megan could do it and even Pepper got in there doing it! He was so cute! But we finished it and wanted to keep going! So we put in the Back and Legs dvd. It was great! We didn't do any of the pull up moves because we didn't have the pull up bar in the living room. The dvd was about and hour long minus the pull up parts it left us with a 40 minute workout! I could keep up with this one and I was hurting! Burning in my thighs and back! Wow! Total workout time was about 2 hours. I fell good. I went up to take a shower and weighed myself. I went down 3 lbs!! 201 now!

Wow! I am already feeling it! My legs keep shaking but I feel really good and proud that I did it! We are definitely going to have to keep doing this daily!

Well I just wanted to post my workout on here before I forget it!

Change is a good thing!

I am changing this blog up a little bit! I am adding a few wonderful ladies as admins! I want them to share their journeys with everyone! We all have been struggling in some way with our weights for some time and I know that we are all ready to make the change and get our lives going on the right track!
So Lisa, Christina, and Ruthie will be posting on here as they please. Sharing workouts, tips, motivation, success, failures, and whatever else they feel like! I am super excited about this.

I plan on taking my before picture soon and posting it on here. I am a little nervous but I know that I need to have one! So as soon take it, I'll post it!

I also will be doing my first weigh in tomorrow and I am going to take some measurements! I can feel a difference already! So, although I am super excited, I am also super nervous!

I have found it!!! My motivation!!

I have FOUND IT!!!! My motivation!! WooHoo!!

I can not remember when it started, I guess about 2 weeks now! I have been doing sit ups like crazy. I sit on the bed and the boys or girls will sit on my knees and I do about 20 to 40 at a time then I take a break and a little later I do another set. I made a goal of about 300 per day! Man I am sore. But I am sticking to it and writing it all down so that I keep track of how many I do at a time and in a day. I starting this week doing squats! WOW! Killer! I mean it hurts when I move! But I am doing it when I find myself just standing or sitting around. Like when I am doing laundry or whatever! Last week, I went running at the school track while I waited on Marissa to finish up her drill practice. I have to wait about an hour so I thought I would make good use of my time! I ran 2 laps and walked on! I finished my last lap running in the ran! It felt good! Because I finished! Everyone on the track stopped and went to sit in their cars when it started raining but I stuck it out and finished strong! I was very proud of myself. Then on Saturday I talked myself into getting up early and going running and walking. I did 2 miles in about 30ish minutes. I think it was like 32 minutes. I had surgery on my left foot but that was not the foot that was giving me trouble. My right foot when numb after about a mile but I kept going! I was able to fight through another mile. I was really proud of that! Then we left for San Antonio for Randy's work banquet. I was able to still do my sit ups! It felt good! I even got Jacob and Pepper doing them with me! Sunday we went to the mall. Randy Marissa and Jacob went to the movies and Megan Pepper and I went shopping! I tried on a pair of pants and I bought a size 16! I have been avoiding shopping for almost a year because I knew I was not fitting into a 16 anymore! But I bought a size 16 pair of pants! I'm so excited! This week I have been staying busy. Monday I did my sit ups and cleaned the house! Tuesday I did my 20 minute work out dvd which focused on lower body! So lots of squats and sit ups and oh Lord, It was hard! Then I cleaned out my laundry room! My washer pooped out and I had to take that one out, clean the whole room, and then put the other washer in and then reorganize it! I got a good work out! I try and do several reps of sit ups and squats through out the day! I have been also drinking lots and lots of water! I have an amazing water bottle that I absolutely love! Its about 25 oz. ans I drink about 10 of those a day! I hadn't really been drinking my Diet green tea! Which I miss! SO I went and got me one yesterday and today! But only one a day then its back to water, water, water! I have to say that I am really proud that I have found my motivation! Oh Oh and to top it all off I tried on those new pants today that I just bought!! AND....they are too big! HA! I mean I can wear them but they hang! I just bought them and they are already a little big! It feels so good!
I haven't even weighed myself! I am kinda scared but I will do it for sure Friday morning! And I'll post it!
I am feeling good! My goal for the now is to just keep doing what I am doing and try to get out and run a little more than I have been.
And I am going to try and post more things on here daily!

My first treadmill try after surgery.

Today I decided since the house was empty and I am feeling a little bit better (Allergies) that I would get on the treadmill and give it a try. And to my surprise I did great.
My foot had no pain, no tingling, no aching! I was able to walk, jog, and run for about 37ish minutes. I was so happy to see that I was able to do this.
I have been putting it off because I just didn't want to hurt my foot! My scar is healing nicely and I haven't had any problems with my foot. Every now and then it will ache when the weather changes but for the most part I am completely happy with the surgery!
Aside from my asthma after I finished my workout I am feeling really good!
Hope I can keep this up.
I haven't weighed myself in a while so I should go do that! I know I am still under  200. Last time I checked I was 197.
My husband, brother and sister in law have this bet going to see who can loose the most weight by the end of March. They will be visiting us again in March. It was really funny to see that my brother and I weigh the exact same and our waist is the same in inches!! He is like 9 years younger than me!! Too funny!
But we will see.
Randy and Megan have been doing P90X and Megan and Esther have been running and walking in the evenings. I am really proud that we all have been trying hard to exercise. Esther has even gotten Mom to go walking with her and Dad to get on his bike, once!
Well today was a good day!
